Summary
This article is devoted to the process of the Russian securities market's formation from the 1890's to 1913. By the end of this period, Russian securities played a noticeable role in the European stock exchanges. The article studies the issues' dynamics and the market price of Russian securities quoted by domestic and international stock markets. In order to define Russian "blue chips" quoted in St. Petersburg's Stock Exchange the author classifies stocks based on their yield and liquidity. The article also investigates the positions of Russian state, public, and private securities in stock exchanges in Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels and Amsterdam.
